    How to use:

    Filling the Pot

Fill the pot about 1/3 full with your dampened mix.

Never pack the soil down with your palms. You want to maintain the air pockets so roots can breathe.

A light tap of the pot on the table is enough to settle the soil.

    Planting

Check the Depth: Place your plant in the pot to check the height. The top of the plant's root ball should sit about 1 inch (2.5 cm) below the rim of the pot. This creates a "reservoir" so water doesn't spill over the sides when you hydrate it.

Fill the remaining space around the root ball with mix.

    Post-Planting Care

The first few minutes are the most important for settling the roots.

Water the plant thoroughly until water runs out of the drainage holes. This naturally settles the soil around the roots and eliminates large air gaps. After watering, the soil level might drop slightly. Top it off with a little more mix if the roots become exposed.
